Dolphin - a general term for aquatic mammals from the order of cetaceans, from the Delphinidae families. They inhabit the seas of both hemispheres and many rivers of the equatorial zone. They often live in flocks of several to several hundred individuals, with a clearly marked hierarchy. They take long journeys. They have the ability to echolocation. They communicate by means of sounds, referred to as the language of dolphins.
